HYPE did not begin with a business plan. It began with a child. More specifically, with the everyday experience of being a parent. I am a mother to a six-year-old. And like many parents, I find myself thinking about the same things every day.

Is my child learning enough?

Is he enjoying what he learns?

Is he confident enough to ask questions?

Will he know how to think when there isn't a textbook telling him what to do?

As parents, we naturally want our children to do well in school. We want good marks, good grades and a strong academic foundation. But somewhere along the way, we also realise that childhood is about much more than that. We want our children to be curious. To be comfortable making mistakes. To have the confidence to say, “I don't know, but I want to find out.”

That is where HYPE began.

Our vision is bigger than a curriculum. I don't want my child to spend her childhood only chasing the next mark, the next certificate or the next achievement. I want him to look back and remember that he loved learning. That he was encouraged to ask questions. That is the childhood we want to help create—not just for our own child, but for every child who becomes part of our little community.

That is the HYPE we believe in.
